Supporting children and families through upset tummies, coughs and colds, itchy skin, sleeping issues and everything in between.Book Your Appointment
The juggle is real, and we’re all struggling to manage it. Moving to an online clinic has made naturopathic care for children accessible no matter where families live, increased appointment availability, and made life just that little bit easier for parents like me who are short on free time.
The Online Clinic
The last year has really changed my outlook on my work and family balance. I realized that I wasn’t balancing things very well at all.
Hindsight is a very powerful tool, and looking back I can now see what a terrible job I was doing trying to manage the juggle.
I was rushing from dropping my own kids off to childcare and school, and rushing through traffic to meet yours at the clinic for appointments. All while wasting time each day commuting.
Making the transition to consult from home via telehealth has allowed me to prioritize my time for what I love the most, being present for my own family and practicing as a children’s health naturopath.
When the 2020 lockdowns came and I needed to consult from home, I was genuinely surprised by not only how effective telehealth appointments were, but also that I saw no negative impacts to treatment outcomes or the relationships I was able to build with families.
I found that a lot of parents preferred telehealth and phone consults. It completely eliminated the need to manage feeding and nap schedules around appointment times, missing school, and no one lost time traveling to and from the clinic.
I’m now able to submit prescriptions online, and supplements are posted directly from the supplier to your home.
I’ll never forget the all-encompassing fear of having a child with a chronic disease. Now that I can look back on our journey I know that there’s nothing I did that caused my baby to be sick. I can now see what I did right, and the incredible impact it had on his health as he grew.
As a result of my own experiences as a mother, my clinical focus has developed with a strong interest in the health of children and their families. With nutritional and herbal medicine, we’re able to complement mainstream medicine – it doesn’t have to be one way or the other.
As parents, we’re all doing the best that we can with the knowledge and resources that we have available to us at the time. My goal is to share my knowledge as a naturopath with evidence based herbal and nutritional medicine.
What Conditions Can Naturopaths Treat?
Parents don’t usually reach out for naturopathic care until all other options have been exhausted. At this point, there are often quite a few concerns relating to different areas of the body. In these situations we need to assess the body holistically – so we analyse how all these issues relate to one another and what the underlying cause is.
